“…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.” Ephesians 1:17
Pastor John Beers, who enjoys photography, sent in this great photo on the theme of ‘wisdom’ for this month’s Meandering Photo Search. He writes, “Here is a picture that might fit the theme for wisdom. The arrangement was put together by Michelle Walker. I thought it was such a beautiful arrangement that I took a picture of it. I added the writing to it - Psalm 119:105.”
Expounding on the photo further, Pastor John added, “I think it speaks of wisdom from different perspectives - in a symbolic way: The flowers represents God’s wisdom through creation and, of course, the highest form of creation was man/woman; The lamp - in His wisdom, God chose light as a form of illumination with Jesus being declared the light of the world; The Bible - all the wisdom that humankind needs as guidance for time and for eternity is contained in the Holy Bible.”
I think this picture also expresses well Proverbs 24:3-4 which says, “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.”
Thank you, Pastor John, for sending in this photo. Next Month’s theme is ‘gentleness’. I trust there will be lots of wonderful photos taken at our Church Picnic this Sunday afternoon at beautiful Blomindon Park. How to see you all there!
Thanks for Meandering along with me,
