Here are a few Family Devotions Tips:
Don't plan for perfection, plan for participation - It might not be that your family will all sit still in a quiet blissful state while you read from the Bible and pray together. Expect energy, expect distraction. Aim for participation, allow everyone to be a part of this important family experience.
Allow everyone to pray, no matter their age or how simple their words. Children need to see that God hears prayers of all kinds and sizes.
One Bible per person. Set as a goal that everyone holds a Bible when you read together. If your children can read, help them find the verses in a full Bible - teach them to use the Table of Contents! If your children are not reading yet, allow them to hold and look at a picture Bible while you read.
Parents - do everything you can to get the Bible into your kids! We want to help!
