Meandering - Photo Search: Kindness

"He has told you… what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice,  and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8

Here is this month’s selection for the Meandering Photo Search on the theme of ‘kindness’. This is Papa, Brian Peveril, fishing with his grandson, Alex Shute, on the recent Victoria Day long weekend at the cottage.  Brian’s wife, Heather, says of the photo, “Alex was sitting watching Papa fish and his arm on the shoulder kindly told Papa he really hoped he would catch a fish. Just a simple jester and a moment to be glad to capture.” Thanks so much, Heather, for sharing this with us.

God’s word tells us that, as Christ has loved us, we are to “Be kind to one another, (and) tenderhearted…” (Ephesians 4:32). Little Alex’s kind gesture certainly showed that he wanted something good for his grandfather. The picture says it all - kindness!

Kindness, a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22), is powerful in all it’s forms. I like how Mark Twain put it: “Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.” May it be ever evident in our lives to the glory of God.

Thanks for Meandering along with me,
Pastor Daniel
