As we celebrate 170 years of New Minas Baptist Church, we want to take time to thank God for His incredible faithfulness through every season of our church's history.  This milestone is an opportunity to honour the pastors, leaders, volunteers, and faithful members who have served Christ and this congregation over the generations. Their prayers, sacrifices, and commitment have helped shape the church we are today. Most of all, we celebrate God's faithfulness. Through changing times, He has continued to lead, provide, and use New Minas Baptist Church to share the hope of Jesus in our community and beyond.

We hope you'll join us as we reflect on the past with gratitude, celebrate the present with joy, and look forward to all God has in store for the years ahead.  Stay afterwards for our Church Picnic.

Church Picnic, this Sunday, June 28th! Join us for a special day of fellowship, fun, and celebration as we gather for our NMBC Church Picnic on Sunday, June 28! This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 170 years of God’s faithfulness through the ministry of New Minas Baptist Church. 

Bring your own picnic lunch, there will be cake in the lobby and we’ll provide the drinks, hot dogs and treats! There will also be inflatables, family activities, and lots of opportunities to connect and celebrate together as a church family. We hope you’ll plan to join us for this exciting day as we celebrate our history, our church family, and all God continues to do through NMBC!  We will be meeting outback of the church.

SPECIAL NOTE TO REMEMBER:  Bring a folding chair.

Our Summer Services will be at 10:00am beginning June 28 through to September 6.

NEW Summer Sermon Series - The Book of James begins next Sunday, July 5!

James is one of the Bible's most practical books, offering timeless wisdom for everyday life. Together, we'll discover what it means to have a faith that is genuine, resilient, and lived out in our words, actions, relationships, and trust in God.  Whether you're new to the Bible or have been following Christ for years, this series will encourage and challenge you to grow in wisdom and put your faith into practice. We would love to have you join us this summer!

Starting in July, the church office will be Closed on Fridays, but will remain open from Monday to Thursday in the mornings from 9am-12pm.  If you have any questions please reach out to Jennifer at office@nmbc.ca

Are you interested in using your gifts to serve in the Worship Ministry at NMBC?  There are many opportunities for you to serve on the Media, Audio or Worship Teams. Motorcycle Group Weekly Ride - Join in for a weekly ride every Wednesday evening throughout the summer. We meet in the church parking lot at 6:00pm for a 6:30 start. SUNDAY MORNINGS for KIDS! We are excited to offer engaging ministries for kids every Sunday morning! For more information about these and other events or programs for kids, please visit our kids' registration desk on Sundays in the cafe. Our NURSERY [ages 0-2] is available and staffed with caring volunteers during our 9:15am service each Sunday. The nursery is unstaffed and available for parents and babies during our 11:00am service. Our SPROUTS [ages 2-5] program is available during our Sunday morning services each week. All children begin in the main worship service with their families, and a few minutes into the service are dismissed to NMBC Kids, where their parents register them in the cafe. The ORCHARD [grades P-5] programs are available during our Sunday morning services each week. THE GROVE is wrapped up for the summer! The Grove is for all kids in grades 1-5, that meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00pm at New Minas Baptist Church during the school year! See you in September! https://www.nmbc.ca/grove

Sports Camps for kids - July 6-10, 13-17, and August 17-21. Each week, kids in grades 1-5 attending our Sports Camps will enjoy exciting competitions, fun fitness activities, and amazing games! Our annual Vacation Bible Camp, July 27-30, will be our largest event for kids all year! Last year, over 200 children joined us for four fantastic mornings! Our Vacation Bible Camp is a FREE event for kids from 9am – 1230pm, Monday to Thursday, July 27-20, 2026!  VBC will be at New Minas Baptist Church. Our Sunday morning Bible study groups for Middle School, High School, and Young Adults have concluded for the spring. They will return in September.

Solid Rock Youth Wednesdays! All youth in grades 6-12 are invited to New Minas Baptist Church every Wednesday night for prayer, games, worship, preaching, small groups, and after-hours activities! Wednesdays are the Best Night of the Week!

This summer, learn to LEAD! Join us at CAMP LEAD YOUTH on August 3-7! Space is limited! Registration opens in June. CAMP LEAD is an all-day camp for children & youth in grades 6-8 [2025-26 school year] focused on Christian leadership training. At CAMP LEAD YOUTH, we will learn from real-life examples of Christian leadership by visiting several Christian organizations that are making a difference in our world!

We will learn about leadership from the Bible as we study various leaders through whom God did incredible things! We will grow as leaders as we learn about our SHAPE to see how God created us to be unique! Also, we've added a few EXTRA fun events during the week!

YOUNG ADULTS - We have a growing community of young adults at NMBC! Join us every Monday night at 7 pm for Worship, Small Groups and more! Need a Ride to Church? SEND-A-KID to CAMP FUND is our sponsorship fund at NMBC to provide bursary support to families of kids & youth who want to attend Christian camps in the summer. For many families, camp is expensive, and we want to offer support so that more children and youth can encounter Jesus and have life-changing camp experiences! The priority in dispersing funds will be children or youth wanting to attend Kingswood Camp. CHALLENGE is an incredible youth conference at New Minas Baptist Church, held every year at the end of October. Every year, hundreds of youth and leaders join us for two incredible days where God changes lives! 

Men's Basketball at NSCC Kingstec Campus, Fridays 6:00 pm to 7:45pm.  Open to guys who are looking for some exercise and fellowship.  We have a word of prayer, and lots of running up and down the courts.  Come for a great time of pickup basketball games.  Indoor sneakers only, and bring your own water bottle.  For more information, connect with Pascal Lahoud.

Spirit-filled prayer time - Join with NMBC brothers and sisters every Wednesday at 7:30PM on Zoom to praise and thank the Lord and ask His blessing and protection of our church and its leaders. These 40-minute sessions are informal and open to everyone and include prayers that worship the Lord, are based in His word, foster communion with the Lord, focus on the Lord's will and power our witness to others.

"Men are invited to join a group that have been praying for over 30 years faithfully every week. We meet on Wednesday morning @ 6:30 for about 45 minutes on Zoom. Valley Care Pregnancy Centre: Assistant Director Opening - We are looking for a a spiritually mature Christian who loves Jesus Christ, gladly shares His Gospel, demonstrates courage and emotional steadiness, and overflows with His love and compassion toward women, families, volunteers, churches, and the wider community.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Guest care and ministry support;

  • Volunteer team leadership and discipleship;

  • Administration, outreach, and public representation.
