JOIN us this SUNDAY morning onsite at 9:15 & 11:00 and online at 11:00 as Pastor Daniel shares a message on The Cruciform Life, from Mark 8:27-38.
Celebrating the Ministry of Pastor Daniel and Gina. Join us Sunday, January 25 at 3:00pm for a time of thanksgiving of how the Lord has used his servants over the past decade plus at New Minas Baptist Church. As we reflect we also want to send Pastor Daniel and Gina off with a blessing and prayer as they take on a new mission. Following a service of worship we will have a reception with cake and refreshments provided in the cafe. You are invited to bring charcuterie items (cheese, crackers, dried meats and fruit, grapes) to share.
Help us CELEBRATE Pastor Daniel and Gina and their ministry here at NMBC over the years. You can upload your photos or videos to https://forms.gle/Q2Fk9rYqsLksEsBj8 or email Pastor Al: al.kirkbride@nmbc.ca
“Even in our goodbyes there is a blessing, for the sorrow of parting is a measure of the depth of the bond we have come to share in Christ.” (A Liturgy for Leavings, Every Moment Holy). As we reflect on the last 10 years in our congregation, there are a lot of stories and many ways that Christ’s light has reflected through our lives. Let’s take this time to share the ways we’ve seen Jesus’ light over our years together as a congregation with Pastor Daniel and Gina. How is Jesus’ work reflected in our community? What are we grateful for? Art is a powerful tool to visualize these thoughts, and we encourage you to contribute your reflection on a ray of the sunshine in the art corner, that will be a commemoration of our time together as we close a chapter with Daniel as our lead pastor and prayerfully look to where God is leading us next.
To share your story of thanks please visit the table in the art corner and take one of the rays of sunshine to write on at home (and bring it back) or at one of the tables at church. Please keep it to one or two sentences to fit on each painted slip of paper. For any questions see Avery Peters (avery.peters@gmail.com).
"But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin." 1 John 1:7
