Advent is an excellent opportunity for families to focus on their faith together. The Christmas season is often a flurry of activity. Slowing down as a family and making time for reflection on the real meaning of the season is so important. Here are some suggestions as you choose which faith rhythms will help you focus your family this year.

The Gospel of Luke has 24 chapters. Read one each day starting on December 1 and then reread Luke 1-2 on Christmas morning. This way, you'll experience the whole story of Jesus this month.

Focus on the Family 2015 - Tales of Christmas Past. This is a family tradition at the Dixon home. For each day of December 1-25 there is a different Bible reading and a different story about Christmas from history. Pastor Jon says, “Our family has read these most every year since 2015, and our children look forward to them and ask for this Advent plan each year.
