Warm-up. What do most people think about sin today?

Read: Mark 2:1-12. Ask God to bless your study.

1. The men pushed through the crowd, climbed to the roof and tore through it to ensure their friend received Jesus’ love and healing. Has God used similar people for you? If so, share how God worked in and through them to bring you to Christ.

2. How did Jesus respond to the faith of the paralytic (2:5)? What were the Scribes so shocked about (2:6-7)?

3. How did Jesus respond to the Scribes’ thoughts (2:8-9)?

4. In Jesus’ riddle what was easier for him to do (2:9)? How can Jesus forgive sins?

5. What was so important about Jesus forgiving the man’s sins before healing him physically?

6. Throughout the bible what does God require before he forgives us of our sins? Where the paralytic did not verbally repent of his sins, how could Jesus know he was repentant (2:6, 8)? What does this say about Jesus’ readiness to forgive?

7. Following the example of the paralytic’s friends, how could you go out of your way to help bring ________________to Jesus?
