Rev. Sterling Gosman
Pastor of Visitation & Care
Pastor Sterling has been a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Church Moderator, Choir member, and auxiliary Police Officer, a Fredericton City Councillor, part of the Christian Marriage Ministry Team, and for over 38 years a member of Brunswick St. Baptist Church. He is also former President of the Convention of Atlantic Baptist churches. He retired in 1997 after a 33-year career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
Pastor Sterling married his high school sweetheart, Ann, in 1965 and they have three children, Rev. Dr. Neville Gosman (Donna), Teah Gosman-Odinga (Jaoka), and Measha Brueggergosman (Marcus). Pastor Sterling and Ann have been gifted with six grandchildren. Pastor Sterling says, “God has wonderfully blessed us with a born-again Christian family and there is no greater gift. Jesus was revealed to me on my mother’s knee, and I am the benefactor of Mother’s fervent prayers.”
In November 2002, Pastor Sterling and Ann sold their home in Fredericton, moved to Kentville, NS, and transferred their membership to New Minas Baptist Church. Pastor Sterling graduated from Seminary at Acadia Divinity College in 2007 with his Bachelor of Theology. Pastor Sterling was ordained at New Minas Baptist Church on November 16, 2008. Pastor Sterling’s favorite scripture is 2nd Chronicles 7:14.
