2017 Bible And Life Conferences [Fall].jpg

BIBLE & LIFE CONFERENCE: Christ-Centred Relationships - November 17-18 - God created people to be in relationships. In fact, we are designed to be in a wide range of relationships so that our Christ-centered character shapes and influences those around us. Join us for our next Bible & Life Conference as we explore together how the gospel in us shapes our relationships with people at work, at school, in our family, on social media and more. Add November 17-18 on your calendar and plan to attend. More details to come.

PRAYER ADVOCATE MINISTRY - The prayer advocate ministry was established a year ago, partnering youth in grades 4-8 with an adult in our church willing to pray for them throughout the week. The prayer advocates receive a prayer card with a photo of your child, their name, age, grade and birthday on it. We are currently in need of another male prayer advocate for a youth who has just signed up.   We are privileged to be able to facilitate this ministry for you and would love to hear from parents and advocates with any questions you might have. You can reach us at arlj.jamieson@gmail.com or by phoning 902-670-4956. ~ Andrew and Laurel Jamieson.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE - No one should go hungry in our community!  Beginning October 2 - 8 we want to encourage everyone to bring along non-perishable food items and funds in our continuing support of the Fundy Foodbank. All the food items will be gathered at the Connections Centre. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! "You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:11 (ESV)
DRIVERS NEEDED for the Mohamad family. Abdin and Hanifa both attend English classes twice a week in Kentville. There are also various appointments that come up and require drivers. If you can assist in this way, we would love to hear from you. Contact Mark Pearce at markwpearce@gmail.com or Laurel Jamieson at laureljamieson@gmail.com.

PRAYER REQUESTS - We would be honoured to pray for you!  Please leave your signed or anonymous prayer requests in our Prayer Request box at our Prayer Centre in the lobby.

NMBC PRAYER LOG - The NMBC Prayer Log is available weekly by email.  It contains prayer requests from our church family and their loved ones (also printed in our weekly bulletin), the CBM PrayerLine, and CBAC Prayer Link.  This weekly publication is available by subscribing at office@nmbc.ca.

WEEKLY PRAYER VERSE - “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”  Romans 8:26 NIV

PRAYER MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT:  MEN!  Are you aware that there are men who gather early on Wednesday mornings to pray?  Thirty-one years ago, in 1986, four young men from NMBC began meeting together to pray at 6:30am before they had to go to work, and this prayer time is still happening in 2017.  What better way to begin your morning before facing a busy day at work?  All men are welcome and encouraged to come out to the external building at the front of the parking lot at 6:30am on Wednesday mornings.  Hebrews 10:25

Faithful giving is a biblical way that Christians participate in the work of Jesus through the local church. Weekly financial updates are available at the Welcome Centre or through email (office@nmbc.ca). Learn more about giving at NMBC here: www.nmbc.ca/give
