VALLEY CARE PREGNANCY CENTRE FUNDRAISER - The Valley Care Pregnancy Centre is a local Christian Mission ministering throughout the Annapolis Valley. We partner together with this home mission to share the grace and truth of Jesus with young women and men facing life and death decisions. The Valley Care Pregnancy Centre is active in ministering to needy women and men facing crisis pregnancies, struggling with parenting, needing support through adoption and those wanting healing from deep regret after an abortion.

This Pregnancy Centre offers ongoing support, counselling, material aid, love, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone who needs help. Through this home mission, lives are being saved and hearts are turning to faith in Jesus and they are being connected to the local church.

This Baby Bottle Campaign is one way we can all work together to pray, raise awareness in the community and supply practical support for these Moms, Dads and Babies in need.

It’s really simple. Just take a baby bottle home, pray for this mission and over the next few weeks put a donation of cash or cheque in the bottle and return it to church on Father's Day Sunday.

It’s a simple and effective way to make a powerful impact for the Gospel here in our own back yard.

Together, we can make a big difference. By this time next year, a baby will be born who would not have existed if it were not for your support. Thank you.

OPEN ARMS DINNER DONATIONS - Visit Pam at the Connections Centre in the lobby to see how you can contribute or contact her at pam.dimock@gmail.com or 902-670-2588.

Send a Kid to Camp.jpg

SEND-A-KID-TO-CAMP FUND - As summer comes close, and as applications from families for funding to help send kids to camp come in, we need funds to give away! If you are able, consider making a donation to our Send a Kid to Camp fund and making an eternal impact on the next generation! http://www.nmbc.ca/sendakid

The children have been in New Minas schools for over two months, travelling each day by school bus and adjusting well in the classroom with the help of additional ESL support. Also, the three youngest have been enrolled in a soccer program for the summer months.

The parents are receiving ESL training at VCLA in Kentville four mornings a week and grandmother is receiving similar support though volunteers at home. They have received social support from the local Syrian community in addition to that of committee members.

The family members have had appointments with a family doctor and a dentist as required under the refugee program. They are enrolled in MSI.

Mohammad has passed his “written” driver’s test. In addition, he has been assigned a garden plot at the Acadia Community Farm as he has been itching to get his hands in the soil in his new country. He has a portable greenhouse set up in the house and is also preparing a small plot at their rental house for planting when the weather is suitable. Ultimately his goal is to farm in the area.

The committee members have supported the family on a regular basis, but could use additional congregational support with driving and attendance at medical appointments and children’s sports activities.

If you can help, please contact Lori Noseworthy at lori.noseworthy@gmail.com or Helen Lawson at helanne27@hotmail.com
