NMBC WORSHIP CIRCLE - We are hosting our 1st Worship Circle on Friday, March 8 from 6:30-8pm. All ages are welcome to gather in the lobby to sing and play together using as many acoustic instruments as can fit in the room. Here’s what you’re encouraged to bring: an acoustic guitar or acoustic bass, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and hand percussion (shakers, cajon, tambourines, etc). And of course come prepared to sing your heart out as we join together on familiar worship songs and learn from each other. Can’t wait to see you! Have questions? Please contact Pastor Paul Fowler paul.fowler@nmbc.ca

Here are some benefits from joining in on a worship circle (as noted by DanWilt.com)

• Young people gain confidence in both playing instruments and flowing in worship expression.

• Older people break out of their confines and try new things.

• The “all-age” dynamic brings people together.

• Songs are taught to small group leaders.

• Band members learn how to linger in a song, rise and fall with dynamics, and respond musically to changes.

2020 VISION SLIDES.015.jpeg

20/20 VISION NIGHT is next Sunday, March 10 at 6:00pm. We will gather for a more acoustic and reflective time of singing led by our young adult band along with times of prayer and updates on the visioning process. If we can’t see what God is asking of us, we will trip all over ourselves; but when we obey and live out what he reveals, we are most blessed (Proverbs 29:18). Watch for a Vision questionnaire email!

NMBC electives.002.jpg

NEW ELECTIVE BEGINNING THIS SUNDAY: Six week (Mar 3 - Apr 7) study of the Exodus theme in Scripture with Wade White based on the book Echoes of Eden.

Room: B6 @ 9:15am.

The exodus stands as a pivotal event in the Old Testament. But we also see echoes of this story of redemption all throughout God's Word. The recurring theme of the exodus throughout the entirety of Scripture sheds light on the Bible's unified message of salvation and restoration that is at the heart of God's plan for the world. Join Wade White for a 6-week study on the theme of the Exodus in scripture, March 3 – April 7 during the first service in B6. The book “Echoes of Exodus” is suggested but not required for the elective, with some copies available at the church office.

NMBC electives.001.jpg

This elective will view a short clip from RightNow Media each week and proceed with a discussion and Bible study. Join Danny Zacharias for a 7-week study on Paul's remarkable life and his voyages from Jerusalem across the Mediterranean world to Rome, where he was ultimately martyred. April 14 – May 26 during the first service in B6.
