Simple Gospel Object Lessons

Sometimes a simple object lesson is just what's needed to explain the Gospel truth. Yesterday in the Orchard with elementary school children, after reviewing the Easter story and watching a fantastic video summary from What's In the Bible, we taught the core of the gospel using 3 flower vases, some water, bleach and iodine.

Rather than posting a long explanation of how to do this at home, just watch this video:

We repeated the experiment in the video and explained the gospel as we went. Why not consider repeating this with your family - better yet, have your children explain it to you.

Technical details [not really that technical]: 

1. The "SIN" vase was 90% water and a few drops of iodine.
2. The "YOU" vase starts off as pure water from the tap.
3. The "JESUS" vase is 50% water and 50% bleach.
