We love new Christmas Traditions! This year we launched a brand new children's program on Wednesday nights for grades 3-5 called The Grove. It's been an incredible new group that the children look forward to every week! This month we started a new Grove Christmas Tradition - We filmed a music video to be shown at Christmas in the Orchard.
Each year at Vacation Bible Camp, one of the highlights is the songs we sing! Our 2016 Vacation Bible Camp theme was Camp IWILLIGOWAY and we had a blast singing songs in our large group worship times! In this blog post we have videos & links to where you can watch or purchase the songs we sang!
Hey Parents! Tomorrow is Good Friday and we have a special worship service at NMBC at 11:00am. At this special service we will be serving Communion. Since this service includes all ages I thought I'd send you a couple of resources to help you explain Communion to your children ahead of time.
Last week was March Break and that means our annual March Break Adventure Camp! We had two fantastic mornings of worship, crafts, games, and Bible stories at New Minas Baptist Church! We were joined by almost 150 children and we were thrilled to celebrate Jesus together. During our events at NMBC we capture photos and videos so that we can share them with you later! Below is the highlight film for our 2016 March Break Adventure Camp!

Every once in a while we want to give you a snapshot of what we did in our children's programs. This helps you to know what we are teaching and how, and it helps you to prayerfully consider how you can help! This past Sunday, February 14, we taught an interesting story of four men who cared enough for a friend who was paralyzed that they went out of their way to bring him to Jesus. This story appears in the Bible here: Matthew 9:1-8; Mark 2:1-12; Luke 5:17-26.
School is done today for the year which means that Christmas is almost here! I am certain you've been doing many things to get ready for the celebration! I want to encourage you to read the Bible with your family this week so that you are able to keep focused on Jesus Christ, the real meaning of the holiday. In order to encourage your family as you celebrate together, I have included some suggestions of how to read the Bible as a family and some suggested Bible passages.

During our annual Summer Adventure Camp our grade 4s & 5s complete an extra special project! Each year these kids plan, act in and film a music video that goes along with our theme! This year our music video uses the song, Fishers of Men by the Newsboys. Take a look!
Summer is here! Starting Sunday, July 5, we will be making some changes for the summer to our Sunday morning programming for elementary age children and we wanted to let you know what to expect. If you have questions please contact us.

Explaining who the Holy Spirit is and what the Holy Spirit does can be tricky. Adults often don't fully understand, so how do we explain this to our children. in this post we've created a list of helpful concepts and videos that you can use, to help your children [and you!] to understand.
We used a short video clip from the popular movie Toy Story to help explain how the Holy Spirit identifies us as belonging to Jesus. Ephesians 1:13 reads: “when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.”
Sometimes a simple object lesson is just what's needed to explain the Gospel truth. Yesterday in the Orchard with elementary school children we taught the core of the gospel using 3 flower vases, some water, bleach and iodine.
Preschool children love music! We try very hard to choose songs that are memorable with simple lyrics that communicate the gospel. We wanted to share with you the songs that we chose for the preschool half of our March Break Adventure Camp this year.
