An Integral Part of NMBC

We all need prayer. We need to pray, and we need to be prayed for. The Bible urges us to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17). Prayer is a critical component of our relationship with Jesus Christ. As others have noted, prayer is the backbone of the Church, and at New MInas Baptist Church (NMBC) we take it seriously. Prayer is an integral part of our worship services, Sunday School classes, and small groups. There are even some groups that meet during the week specifically for the purpose of praying. Here are some other important parts of our overall prayer ministry.

Online Prayer Requests or Praise Reports

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to sumbit your prayer requests or praise reports to the pastors online. They can be submitted anonymously.
Your requests will be forwarded to the church office. If you wish to share your request or praise with one of our prayer groups, or list your request on this web site, we will do so. To send a request or report, CLICK "Online Prayer Request or Praise Reports", complete the online form and click "Submit" at the bottom of the form.

Pre-Service Prayer

You are invited to meet in the Prayer Room next to the Common/Choir room 15 min. before the worship service to pray specifically for the worship service, our church, its leadership, its teachers, and our visitors.

Woman's Prayer Group

The Woman's Prayer Group meets Tues. morning at 9:30am for prayer and bible study. For more information email Nadine Kimball.

Men's Prayer Group

Men's Prayer group meets Wed.Morning @ 6:30 AM. All are Welcome. Coffee at McDonalds after if you have time. For more information email Laurence Coldwell.

Prayer Vigils

Throughout the year, we sets aside special times for corporate prayer, including round-the-clock prayer vigils. Watch for announcements for these special prayer events in the bulletin, the newsletter, and this website.
