Our Vision, Mission and Core Values

"Modeling LIFE GOD's WAY in local discipleship, regional leadership, and international partnership."

We see a church that is alive with the presence of God ...

In Worship. Spirit filled believers engage in daily spiritual disciplines that cause them to reflect the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Corporate worship experiences are life changing. People anticipate coming to the services and word of mouth spreads that each service is an encounter. Non-believers, who are regularly invited by regular attenders are conscious that God is at work and are confronted with their need for life change. People feel free to express their love for God in various forms such as clapping, raising hands, giving, and silence. Worship leaders use creative methods to lead the people of God.

In Discipleship. There is a hunger to know and do the Word of God. Each decision is measured by what God's Word says. There is a desire to remain true to the Bible, even at personal cost.

In Fellowship. A loving, positive, caring message is communicated through ministries, conversations, and small group initiatives.

In Evangelism and Ministry. The church has a positive name in the community as it builds bridges, provides support, carries out creative initiatives and communicates the message of life to the full. Regular conversions take place as a result of fervent prayer and effective and creative witness.

In Leadership. NMBC is a model for effective ministry in the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches, Atlantic region and throughout Canada.

Our Mission

Core Values

In 2006 our church created the Living Life God's Way Campaign through which we taught and studied through these 6 core values.  The messages and devotionals for this campaign are available: here.

L - Loving Relationships - We value relationships based on God’s love, acceptance, affirmation, and authenticity where people sacrificially serve one another.

I - Inspiring Worship - We value daily personal disciplines such as prayer, and weekly corporate worship, where head and heart are engaged in praise to the God who made us.

V - Visionary Leadership - We value pastors and lay leaders who are called of God, display Christian character, are competent in their area of responsibility, and use their gifts as part of a cohesive team that seeks God's desired future.

I - Impacting Future Generations - We value emerging generations and will seek to win them to Christ and help them grow through quality programming and ministry opportunities.

N - Networking - We value and will partner with local and global ministries who share our passion for spreading the message of life God's way.

G - Growing in God's Word - We value the authority and timeless principles of the Bible and will study them and live them out in our responsibilities and relationships.
